Best of Venice Photography Course
International | 8 Hours | Suits all levels
Cost: $290 | 3 Oct '18
Along the way you will discover glorious art, superb architecture and the vibrant life of Venitians going about their daily lives. Randomly exploring the city by walking is the ideal way to discover hidden photographic gems with a labyrinth of back alleyways and meandering canals. Our 8 hour course, with plenty of stops, includes the Murano glass making tour, shooting inside the Doge Palace, the bell tower of San Marcos Square, St Marks Basilica, but above all its about getting lost and discovering and photographing in the less touristy area of Venice such as in the Jewish quarter, around the markets of Rialto and in the student area of Dorsoduro.
San Giacomo Church and the old artisan quarters of Venice capturing the trading history of Venice and luxurious commodities that were traded by the Venetians. The old red-light district of Casteletto, where in old times the Merchants of Venice would sojourn at locanda's and enjoy the company of the famous Venetian courtesans. We photograph the notorious Ponte delle Guglie and other quaint picturesque bridges and luxurious palaces all hidden away on the back-streets of the San Polo district. These numerous magnificent Gothic / Byzantine Palaces echo the great prosperity that Venice & the Venetians once enjoyed during the times of the Serenissima Republic.
A visit to the Frari Church that houses masterpieces by Titian, Bellini & Canova. Here we make use of our licensed expert guides, all of whom possess art and history backgrounds. We will discuss how to photograph (without flash) the precious works of art on display that will help illuminate the fundamental role Venice played during the latter periods of the Renaissance movement. This original 8 hour photography walking course consists of a series of workshops throughout the day and finishes near the beautiful San Moise Church, Mozarts home in Venice.
