What's the difference between Lightroom CC and Lightroom Classic?
■ Lightroom is the new cloud-based photo service that works across desktop, mobile, and web. Lightroom Classic is the desktop-focused digital photography product. While CC ( now just called Lightroom) is the Lightroom for photographers that want to edit anywhere with an intuitive interface. Its suitable for web cloud based usage and for mobiles as well.

■ Classic is the best option for photographers that need the most tools and access to Photoshop. Adobe says that they will continue developing both applications. When it comes to editing images, both Classic and CC are equally good: Classic offers more advanced workflow options, but CC is slicker, and you can edit video. Of course, CC is designed for a different audience to those of us who've been using Lightroom for years.

■ This Lightroom Classic course is tailored for those wanting more control in the editing process and who need much greater control in the export modules.

Are the applications installed on my computer or are they cloud based?
■ Lightroom Classic is installed locally on your computer. Lightroom is a cloud-based service with three device-based apps: desktop, mobile and web. You don't need an ongoing Internet connection to Lightroom Classic. You only need to log into Lightroom once every 99 days to validate your membership.

Can I use the software on one more computer ?
■ Yes, you can install and run Lightroom apps or Photoshop on two computers, such a home and work computer (Mac, PC or one of each)

What happens to my photos if I exceed my allotment of cloud storage in Lightroom ?
■ If you run out of storage, your new photos will be saved only on the devices they came from. They’ll no longer be backed up to the cloud or synced across your devices and they won’t be automatically tagged for easy keyword search within Lightroom. The photos you have already backed up to the cloud will still be accessible on all your devices.

Is a 4 hour course long enough to learn all the Lightroom Classic features ?
■ We have structured the course to be an introduction to this powerful and virtually essential image editing program and to de-mystify Lightroom Classic to the uninitiated user. You will learn the basics, how it all works and from there you can self teach yourself through the plethora of self help Youtube tutorials. In short - it gets you going and on the right path.
